Kiiminki Energy Battery Storage park is a small but compact power plant, currently under construction.
Kiiminki BESS park
Kiiminki Battery Energy Storage park is under construction project located in City of Oulu, specifically Kiiminki district. The park is connected to a nearby Hakomäki power station using 20 kV voltage. The BESS park is among the first to utilise new Cactos Nevado BESS solution.
The park area was covered in forest with actual ground works having commenced September 2025.
Commercial operation of the plant will commence February 2026.
