Building Permit Granted for Battery Energy Storage Project in Kemi

Published:

Enetron Park’s battery storage project at the Kemi Syväkangas substation has taken a significant step forward, as the project has been granted a building permit.

Enetron Park plans to build a battery storage facility with a nominal power capacity of 10 megawatts (MW) and an energy storage capacity of 20 megawatt-hours (MWh) at the substation. The Syväkangas substation is part of the local grid operated by Kemin Energia ja Vesi Oy.

With the building permit now in place, the Kemi battery storage project is ready for construction. However, Enetron Park has not yet made the investment decision for the project.
